GMAT

WHAT IS GMAT?

GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test. It is occasioned and administered by Educational Testing Service (1947). It is a standardized test - delivered in English - widely used as part of the assessment process for admission to MBA programs in Business Schools or in other graduate management programs. Nearly 2,300 graduate management programs throughout the world, and about 850 schools require GMAT scores from each applicant. A high score alone does not translate into an admission offer from a great school. But the test can be looked upon as the first major hurdle to be cleared in the process of getting admission into a Business school of your choice. GMAT has still stayed as a superior choice for MBA applicants.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TAKE THE GMAT?

To make the test, you will have to register yourself on mba.com. The costs for a registration are $250,-. Be aware when you have to re-sit the exam, you will have to pay the same amount of money every time you register for a new attempt. This way, the costs for taking the exam only, can get really high.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY TEST DATE?

When you want to change your date of exam and you change it earlier than 7 days before the date you already registered for, the costs will be $50,-. When you change the date of exam within 7 days before the date you already registered for, you will pay the full amount of $250.

WHEN IS THE GMAT TEST AVAILABLE?

GMAT is a computerized test and it can be given throughout the year. And if you really want to choose your own date and time slot then you need to register early because the slots might get filled. Registering before six months before the exam will be fine.
